We are hoping to use this blog to promulgate advances in molecular diagnostics.

In November 2017, Molecular Pathology is making a new clinical sequencing panel available for solid tumors. The panel report mutation within approximately 440 genes. A list of the 440 reported genes can be found at the Molecular Diagnostics Lab website. We will maintain a 50 gene panel for specimens unlikely to work with the larger panel. The GAITWAY tumor board, headed by Drs. Josh Lauring and Ben Park, is available to assist with interpretation of results. We are working with Dr. Alex Baras to load all clinical sequencing data in a web portal for general use. These data will also be available through AACR’s Project GENIE website, led here at Hopkins by Dr. Victor Velculescu.
