Dr. Gang Zheng received residency training in anatomic and clinical pathology, followed by fellowship training in hematopathology and molecular genetic pathology, from the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Since 2015 he has been an Assistant Professor of Pathology and served as an associate director for the hematology and molecular pathology laboratories at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. His research efforts have been focused on the following topics: 1) new test development, validation, and quality assurance in molecular diagnostics and hematology; 2) applications of genomics technologies in hematologic diseases and solid tumors. In total, he has been an author on over forty peer-reviewed publications and presented over twenty abstracts at various meetings. In addition, he has received several awards for research and teaching, including young investigator’s award and clinical pathology teaching award from the Johns Hopkins Hospital. As of January 23th, Dr. Zheng has moved to Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. He will remain as an adjunct faculty of Hopkins and can be reached at [email protected].​
